Kubb is an outdoor game, thought to have been played by the vikings, hence the nickname "
Viking Chess." It is becoming popular through out the world, and the north-east of the USA is no exception with many leagues and clubs being formed, and a Kubb national championship held annually. The dimensions of the pitch, or the area for game play, is 8 Meters by 5 Meters as below.
The King is 3.5" square and 12" tall, typically with a crown carved at the top and detail lines vary from set to set,
The
Kubbs, of which there are 10, are 2.75" square and 6" tall, and may also have detail carved in them or not,
The batons are 1.75" in diameter and 12" long, used to throw and the kubbs and King.
